Opened it up and there was a burnt out diode which I replaced but it still doesn't work.

Anyone know of someone who might be able to repair this box? I've ordered a BYOC in the meantime...

    thats a darnit....:(

I would be totally bummed if mine died.
I have actually heard of others that "died".
    I always wondered why.

What happened? Were you playing it ?
Just plug it in and nothing ? Power snafu ?

Good luck with finding a repair man..
I hope you can because its worth getting
    it fixed....:RoCkIn

It started getting intermittant all of a sudden during a session. When I tried it a week later, no sound!! big black burn mark around one of the diodes...

I thought I read somewhere that Boss will actually still service these... I don't know if that's true or not, but might be worth the effort to contact them.

Just received my BYOC. Sounds OK but quite hissy compared to the VB-2 (yes, I tweaked the internal trimmers). I also feel the modulation waveform is a little less smooth and sinewave-like. Good pedal but now I really want to get my VB-2 repaired! I have the BA6110 version btw...

You might contact this guy stinkfoot@stinkfoot.se
He's on the other side of the planet but maybe he could do a walk through. Maybe try a post on the Bossarea.com forum.
Analog Mike can fix anything. Good luck!

there is a guy that posts on harmony central. his user name is edster. i do not know if he posts here or not.

he's a roland liscenced repair man and seems to have documentation on old stuff too. he told me that he can repair my DD2 although i've yet to send it his way. he's located in florida.
