Anyone have info on this unique 60s boutique monstrosity? Being played by Arthur Lee in the band "Love" circa 1966.
Appears to have a 3/4 (or guitarrone?) size 12-string neck with a headstock as large as the fingerboard? The 6-string has bass and treble pickups? Very fenderish.
Is there an obvious example of this guitar in the band's recordings?

Johnny Echols, Love's lead guitarist, was known for weird double necks. Arthur may have borrowed the mystery guitar from him?

James Hetfield has a couple of those in the last picture. Forget what they are called.

Johnny Echols' gibson has six strings on both necks. And the top neck doesn't look like its mandolin scale either.

I was referring to the one in the last pic of your OP, an EMS-1235, which has a 6-string guitar neck and 6-string tenor/"mandolin" neck.
