    Geez, the guy is great. Again, I missed the whole country thing, until I got started with Brad Paisley not many years ago.

    John Lennon said something to the effect of "all Rock and Roll could just be called 'Chuck Berry'" and I think I'm having a discovery like that with George Strait, in that every modern country ballad (or at least the good ones) seems to have a little George Strait in them. I realize there were folks here before George Strait, but this guy is the master of the country ballad.

    Great voice, great songs. Loving it.

    It seems to me like George came along and kicked the orchestras and choirs out of country and put the Tele, fiddle, and steel back up front where they belong.

    Big fan of his since I was a kid. Heard his music around the house plenty. He's incredible and seems like a pretty down-to-earth guy too.
