Bill was kind to share some pix with me on the initial production run of these Redd Volkaert Signature models... I'll share with you guys, too!

I have heard the pups on these new models... Trad tele stylers will be very pleased!!!

Kind of sad - his Hahn tele-style was fantastic. Are the pickups Ashers or his Budz?

Pups are joint between Bill, Redd and wound by Jason Lollar... They are superb - twang and steel string clarity, but less noise than the typical Tele spec.

Not sure I understand what is "sad" about any of this, though :huh?

Oh YEAH!

Wow, Redd sounds great - big surprise (GRIN). I love the more traditional sound of the Ultra T with the Redd Volkert sig pickups by Jason Lollar - way different than a standard Ultra T.

That's totally cool - now Bill Asher has a traditional sounding version AND the really cool hybrid standard p/u version which is gainier - fantastic!

Sounds GREAT Bill - Oh and Redd, not bad playing and tone! (GRIN)

Thanks, Dana O.

Nice. I'm pretty set with my guitars, and love the feel and the sound I am getting. That being said, the Ashers are the only thing that has me drooling these days. I love his designs and wood choices.

Exactley! Love the "snakehead" look on a telecaster! Doesnt get much more traditional or original than that!

Just because something is true to the original design does not mean that it is more traditional. Telecasters have not traditionally featured a snakehead, even though for a brief period of time the design could be found. Is it more "original?" well, sorta, but it's definitely not more traditional.

That said, I love the new Sig model!

He is playing guitars from several builders. This one looks cool though.
