Assembling First Partscaster - A Hardtail Strat

I've received the body and I have the bridge and most of the hardware. The neck just shipped and the pickups should ship shortly. I can't wait to have this thing all together!

I'd love a hardtail Strat especially for slide playing. Sounds great. Are the pickups single coil?

God Bless You, if there's one thing that the world needs it's more hardtail Strats. I think that the Stratocaster was a wonderful idea but only if you take off that awful vibrato that makes it sound so clinky.

My latest...surf green Fender strat....old gutted 90's alder body, 30 year old Warmoth birdeye maple neck w/rosewood board....plays great (thanks Doug Kauer and crew for the nut/setup work). Lots of fun...I'm sure it will turn out great!

Unfortunately, I sold it while suffering through a severe stupidity attack.

My first "real" guitar was a hard tail strat.

Loved it then, love it now. (although, I am also fond of the vibrato versions.)

Hardtail Strats, and their general unavailability except 70's boat anchors, are what got me into building in the first place.
