Has any one here used any of the major auction houses to sell rare guitars. No not ebay, I mean Christys, Skinners and the like. What was your experiance?. Did you sell a high dollar guitar? Is it woth the commissions if you get a big dollar sale?

I didn't sell one, but I inquired at Sotheby's about selling a 1958 Lennon-Spec Rick 325. They really didn't seem all that interested in handling it and they referred me to someone else (a Beatles specialist named Darren Julian in LA).
