That's a good example of making a relatively simple standard really interesting. Great playing!
Luv it ... always like the way you play a Tele ... (too)
Awesome Jostein...especially enjoyed the bit between 1:00--1:05.
Glad to see you back at it!
You're always a huge inspiration.
I've spent untold number of hours on that tune and never sounded like that. Thanks!
Nearly no distance from your ideas to your fingers.
Very enjoyable !
Thank you very much!
Thanks! I think playing a tele sometimes brings out a different side of me.
Thanks, I appreciate it!
I love this tune, it is not exactly a tune many people on the jazz scene in NYC wants to play though..I usually like to play it a little more up-tempo.
I think it sounds much better in the key of G minor rather than E minor.
Thank you Uffe!
I really appreciate that, this is what I am trying to achieve, training myself to be able to execute ideas right away. In some ways that has become easier for me than trying to cram in pre-planned licks and patterns.
And then singers drive you crazy. I have one who sings it in D minor and another who sings it in A minor.
Ah, singers... Most of them are plain annoying.
At least this is a tune that is really easy to transpose on the spot.
It worse with "Stella" in Gb major or "Body and soul" in A..
Sounds great Jostein as it always does!!
Please face the camera so it's easier for me to steal your lines... hahaha
Great take Jostein! The Tele sounds great too!
