Can the Avalanche Run be used in mono?
and it is awesome
But try it in stereo if you can. You’ll never go back.
I have the Dispatch Master and love it. I want that sound but with more features, like tap tempo, etc.
Whoa!!!… just saw… 480mA?!!! Damn!!! That’s a deal breaker.
Get a separate 1A?
Went to a pedalboard to get away from that.
Yeah, it's a little inconvenient. I use the supplied adapter plugged into the courtesy outlet of my PP2+ to power it.
I have both, they are not quite the same but they goes well together
The Dispatch Master reverb is less "cold" than the Avalanche Run
I bought an Avalanche Run to be a stereo Dispatch Master. Not so much. The Strymon Volante is better at that role.
Thanks. I’ll check that out.
The avalanche run will not replace the dispatch master. Ask me how I know.
NEVER sell your dispatch master. Nothing sounds like it. I now have 2 dispatch masters on my board.
Okay… I’m game. How do you know?
I was so looking forward to the Avalanche Run being a Dispatch Master with tap tempo and a few more controls, but it has a much more sterile vibe that didn’t retain the charm of the Dispatch. Disappointing.
I’ve tried to replace the dispatch master with multiple expensive, fancy units. Nothing sounds like it. Not even close. Hold onto the dm with dear life.
Have you ever noticed a problem with the Dispatch Master jacks accepting certain cable plugs?
Mine does. Certain cords will buzz like all get out until I jiggle them. Weird.
