Based on feedback from members, we have decided to not go ahead with those changes. However, it has also highlighted that we need some community input into what is working and what is not working for members here. Primarily focused on the Emporiums, we'd like input on your thoughts about TGP and how things work in the Emporiums for you and how you'd improve them. The discussion thread on the is here!

My local music store has a used 2-12 Avatar vertical cab (the one with the upwards-facing top speaker--neato!) and Vintage 30s in it. I'd like to use it for my Pal V32H and $159 sounds like a good deal and the 8 ohms matches my head. I've never owned an Avatar cab but they seem to have good rep. Is this a good deal?

Yes, good deal. The speakers alone (when new) are worth that price.

You would be a silly goose if you didn't march right in there and buy it.

Thanks, guys! I thought this sounded like an awfully solid deal. And that top speaker angle will let me hear myself super well in the most raucous jam sessions. I know these V30s are awfully bright, but the V32H has very effective EQ, I can dial in pretty much anything to compensate.

You could sell the speakers and recoup the cost or sell the cab and recoup the cost.

    Jump on it.

    BTW, I like their cabs.

Hell of a deal for an already great-value-for-the-money cab man! I've been very happy with my open backed 2x12.

Yeah, this one is closed but I totally dig the tilt-up top speaker deal! How many times do you just need to hear your ax a bit more directly to get the right interaction in a loud, raucous band setting? This solves the problem and places your head nice and high right at your fingertips. Being 6-4 that counts for a lot!
