Avatar cab question

Buying a used Avatar 212 Contemporary. It is open back, but there is a top and bottom panel as opposed to the oblong cutout I see on the ones from their website. Was this an older style? Or I'm wondering if the owner cut a section out of a closed back. Tolex looks good from picture. (Owner not available due to divorce).

HI, G212 Contemporary cabs only came with either the entirely closed back panels or the open back with the oval opening. Dave

Thanks Dave. I suspect it's a closed back that the owner cut, but should work OK. I'll see it tomorrow. Turns out it's a Traditional cabinet, not a Contemporary, but I imagine that does not make a difference as far as the back. Looking forward to hearing this after reading all the positive reviews. Gonna put a Reverend 1250 on one side and a Celestion Gold on the other and wire them separately so I can switch between the two for different tones. I have a Weber ohm gizmo so I can also try them both together.
