Anybody stepped up and bought one of these, since they've come out ?

As usual, it looks like great bang for the buck; just wondering how it sounds.

The cab dimensions are very appealing, so I can't imagine it sounding bad.

Is that the oversize one? If so, I have one and love it. Mine has the vintage 30's. I use it with my Peters Dual channel.

    Yeah, the oversized one !

Read one or two review at HC, yesterday, for what that's worth ..

I'm definitely close to ordering one.

Does your have a removeable back, or is it closed(no panel) ?

Mine is fully closed. I belive you can order with an open back. Mine has been great. It sounds good and there are not annoying buzzes or vibrations coming off of it.

What would you guys reccomend for a speaker choice in that amp?

I have a 50 Watt Bruno Pony (think 68 plexi) and wanted a 4x12 greenback cab , but due to space restrictions I was thinking what would make a good choice in a 2x12? 2 25w greenbacks might be too little wattage handling I'm thinking..........

Nice looking cab. Reminds me of the Bogner oversized 212, which I liked a lot.

    I'd go w/ 2 H30s(Heritages, if you can $wing it)

If the Bruno is as responsive, EQ-wise, as I'm imagining, you'll still
have plenty of midrange crunch from those speakers, even though
that's the Greenbacks forte, vs. the H bass and top-end emphasis.

I'm sure this has been commented on, elsewhere, but I'll ask again.

Where are the Governors as far as the EQ response ?

They've been compared to V30s as ((not)) having the upper mids emphasis,
    but I've read that they're, instead, mid-heavy ?

Are they, or would you say they're more balanced across the spectrum,or ?

Scumbag makes a 60 watt version of his M magnet pre-rola Greenback clone. That would make a great 2x12 for a "plexi".

The one in the picture with my s2 amps Lightning sitting on it is loaded with a Scumback H30 and a Greenback... It's my favorite cab. The slanted baffle is another great feature, as it really projects your sound well.

The other cab in the picture with my Ghia on top of it is an EarCandy Boa 2x12... Somewhat similar design to the Avatar Premier Vintage, with a 2/3 closed back and angled baffle. The shell of this one is birch, and the baffle is mahogany. Speakers in the Boa are Scumback H30's, one 75hz and one 55hz. I'm going to put this cab up for sale soon along with the Lightning head. E-mail or PM me if interested.

Those cabs look great. If I didn't already have a Bogner oversized cab, I'd be all over that!

i just recently got an Avatar premiere vintage with a hellatone 30 and a hellatone 60.

It sounds awesome, and the build quality leaves nothing to complain about as far as i can see.

Does anyone have one of these with the G12H-30 speakers in there?

Thinking about one of these for my MOD 50, although I've never owned the g12h's, from descriptions, they seem like they would be the right ones for me...

    Anyone?
