    I'm contemplating grabbing one of Avatar's 1x12 with a Hellatone 30, but was wondering if anyone can tell me the tonal difference between the Vintage(24"W x 20.5"H x 11"D) and the Standard G112(17" H x 17" W x 15 1/2" D)? Both will be open back.

I have one with a g-1265 in it and it sounds awesome for cleans but in my opinion it cant handle high gain without the bottom getting messy.

the vintage sounds much deeper an "woodier". The standard is definitely more punchy sounding.

Miles, what kind of wattage are you running into your 1x12? I'll be running no more that 18 to 30 watts.

That's the speaker not the cabinet. I have a Tonker in mine and it stays together just fine.
