With such a polite request, I'm surprised the offers aren't flying in... :)

Seriously though, Fractal offers a 15-day trial.

Jarrett, thanks for the reply...much appreciated...I know about the trial...but, I'm not in the habit of buying gear that way...I bought a unit years ago with similar conditions and didn't like it at all. Guess what happened...I dropped the freaking thing, it broke and no matter what I had to pay for it. I will not do business like that again. Got to try it first.

    Thanks again for the post.
    Adios

Are the rules different for borrowed gear?

That's the easy question....I have a feeling your next two follow-up questions would be more involved.;)

Have you spoken to Lerner? He knows your amps, your style, and owns an Axe. He may be able to give you some more insight if you can't find one to try.

What do you expect? You to break it and then they say no problem? No offence, but it sounds like I would be very leary letting you try or borrow anything my brotha ;-)

If you are serious, just buy it with the trial. If you are afriad of breaking it in 10 ten days, then perhaps you shouldn't have expensive gear anyway.

I have high respects for Scott, he really knows how to tweak the Dumble style amps...I did speak with him not in depth a long time ago and asked how he liked his Axe-Fx, what I go from the conversation was that he really didn't spend much time with the unit so I guess it would be unfair for him to comment. And to add to this we really play different stiles. I have to try one to make my own decision. Thanks for your post.

Hey Galo, I'm sorry your request isn't being taken seriously, my joke above included. From what I have gathered you are a serious player (whatever that means) and your inquiry is genuine.

I hope someone in your area follows up on your request. Maybe you'll have better luck on the Axe FX forum.

Hmm. You mean there aren't hordes of people willing to lend their $2000 processor to a stranger? Odd.

Why are we talking about this Axe-FX thing here anyway? It's not an amp or a cab, is it?

"You break it, you bought it!"

Galo, you've got it all completely backwards

You're supposed to buy something without hearing it or touching it
all based on hearsay on public forum boards. After you order it you are supposed t then start a thread asking how you will like it after you bought it. Then after you buy it, you are supposed to be dissatisfied with it, write up a good review of it at harmony central in order to pump up the positive ratings so a prospective buyer will want it, and then sell it at a loss.

    That's how it's done !

Nobody in Florida has any cool gear. I brought my Soldano to DEFINITELY the most recommended tech in Orlando & he said he hasn't seen one in years & he forgot how beautiful they were inside. Once in awhile we'll get a Bogner on CraigsList, but that's about it.

Seems like there is a huge turnout for the Tampa Bay Tonefest from what has been posted on this forum. The photos demonstrate tons of cool gear

Florida is a huge state, so the cool gear must be "spread out" more so than alot of other states
