Cool not, perhaps, that experimental whatever THAT means....
I actually hear a lot of Robben inspiration in that track..
You should try a looper like EDP or Looperlative, or why nor Mobius which is software based, i find looping being a lot of fun and forces you to get out of "normal" thinking.

Experimental in that:

a> the improv is jumping around in and out of the key center - so harmonically
b> the tools I'm using - ableton live, Monome, Backwards Machine - are all new tools for me - so compositionally and production/performance-wise

Looping is a ton of fun. But what's happening with the Monome, Max for Live, the developer communities and Ableton is even cooler.... especially if you are a geek like me.

VERY cool "toys" that actually seems like creative tools..
JUst sort of questioning the term "experimental" one use of it is when you expriment with something, gear, just to see what will happend, like i do with looping.
An other use is to try to make music that stretches the boundaries of what i ordinarly percived as music. Sort of what Trane, Coleman and Cage all did in very different ways.
But main thing is that I really enjoyd that peice...
