Please come blow over a track laid down by myself on Nylon String & Synth Pad,
Kim Stone on Bass & our great percussion section ...

Here's the original Backing Track (played live in the studio):

    Toot's Backing Track

Here's the Album track with moi blowing a Harmonica like Synth tone over the top of it:

    Shades of Toots

Here's the original chart. The verse vamp is either in G Lydian, B minor or D major (your choice)
The bridge has a few changes to navigate: (sorry it's so big)

I must be a DAW idiot?

I usually play the BT's live and play over them but I decided to import this one into the DAW (Cakewalk).

The two tracks blended very nicely in the DAW but they seperate when I try to export the Audio?

I tried bounce to clips and bounce to tracks...ok just shoot me LOL...

So I guess I'll have to master it somehow before I can post it.

Man this is a lot of fun to play over, difficult for this non-jazzer! Video is done, uploading as I type, You Tube takes 8 hours to upload my videos so go have a nice sleep!

I was so keen to hear the first take on this, yours is so different to mine, its great! You approach the "verse" in a major feel, whereas I hear it being in B Minor or a bluesy feel. Major works just great, I love playing over major stuff so I might have to rethink this one! Nice playing over the changes in the "chorus".

I'll listen to these and try to produce a take in a little bit. Thanks for the heads up Joe!

    Sweet, tasteful tone ...
Love the way you dialed in those effects ...

Great little theme/motif (as Carl pointed out) you started the song with,
& then played again whenever it would go back to the Verse Rob... Nice!

The bends during the Bridge changes were right on ...
Wanna mean you can't play jazz Rob .... !! Listen to yourself ...

That's the way to do it guys... own the song...
Make it your own as a soloist ...

Thanks Joe, its always best to make jam tracks into a little song, if you can, i did a few takes where i just soloed over the whole thing, but even I couldnt listen to it back all the way! Boring.

I woke up this morning with that melody in my head! Cant wait to hear more guys have a go at it.

OMG .. I just listened to this twice..
    DAMN ..:jo

The Horn's melody sounds very Brecker Brother-ish..
The guitar solo is great (the opening sounds like a ring modulator ,,?)
You've got chops up the wa-how my good man..

The sax solo is incredible ... just blew me out of my seat..
I stood up and cheered with your great ending ...
