Backing ala Diezel Einstein

    Thanks for the kind words, but after listening to it this morning, I'm very disappointed with my performance on my improv. I'm playing off time, my guitar is out of tune, and I'm just so sloppy. I should know better than to tackle something new being so tired. There are so many players here that can a take like this in one run and the performance just kills. Unfortunately, I'm not one of those.

    Anyways, I am pleased with how the backing turned out... again a first for me to use chords around the Harmonic Major scale... I think that what they are. I just finished watching Larry Carlton and Steve Lukather rip it up on DVD, and something Larry said years ago just resurfaced... "I think of scales in terms of chord clusters." I did the opposite, I created chords based on the scale I'm learning... pretty cool and I learned a lot by doing that exercise.
