My drummer and I are trying to figure out a name for our band. We are a metal/heavy metal band, and we came up with a few ideas, but we suck at coming up with good names, so we were hoping that you guys could give us a hand. So far, we have:
    -Fallen Knights
    -Confidential Death
    -Waking of the Beast
    -Waking Death
    -Walking with Death
    -Plight of Insanity

We hope these are somewhat decent! Thanks for any help, and sorry if this is the wrong place to ask.

    Cheers,
    Jonathan

Make up a word. Combine two or more words to make 1 cool word.

The other day I misread some internet ad banner and thought it said "Unlimited Llamas," and I thought that would be a cool band name.

Sorry, that's probably no help whatsoever.

    Short, snappy, memorable and saleable.

Waking of The Beast might be too long and not memorable enough for merch. It's better to be a little ambiguous in your name - say for example what happens if you get big, but five years down the road your music becomes more prog, or more mainstream etc. Does the name still fit?

I'm not a fan of any of them. What genre of metal? I think it's virtually impossible to come out with a cool death-centric band name in the metal world. Overdone.

    Consider your band URL.

Google your options. Most 'good' ideas are in use somehow. We had a great idea that was the name of a graphics art shop.

Consider negative potential 'fan' impact of use of 'death' imagery (unless that is you aim). Your shows will be a sausage fest with some names, but it could go with the genre.

    Branding and logos?
