Bandit experts?

Are these knobs original? The date code suggests 1982 which has would be one of the first bandit 65s but this thing has boss style knobs with a fair amount of dust and dirt on them . I have never seen these style knobs on a Bandit.

Check over at the peavey forum.
To me it doesnt look quite right bit anythings possible. That year and age i would say someone replaced the original knobs but i could be completely wrong as well. Also try shooting peavey an email or call. Always had good luck that roite anytime i was in doubt. Good score btw.

I though the 80s models had the white and blue faced knobs.

I had the 50w predecessor. Bought it new when I was like 14. Had it for decades, gave it to my nephew a couple years ago. It looked exactly like this

Pretty sure the 65 was cosmetically identical

When I bought that same amp new, it had black plastic knobs with either blue, white or gray colored centers I believe.

Definitely not original. You could check with Peavey to see if they still have the parts - they are usually pretty reasonably priced from Peavey. I bought a blue Post Gain knob on eBay for $10 - before I thought of checking with Peavey. They do sell new Bandit 65 logo's for $2.50, FYI.
