The Police get nowhere without Stuart Copeland.
Geezer wrote the lyrics in Sabbath, not Ward.
My Dad interviewed Keith Moon and they went out afterwards and got so drunk that my dad got run over by a bus and broke some bones.
Epic post. This should be your sigline.
+1 for Stewart Copeland and The Police.
Led Zeppelin and Police.
The Experiece, Hendrix was obviously the best one of the group but Mitch Mitchell was the only (jazz) drummer that could coherently follow him.
You are right, what was I thinking?
That certainly sounds like a typical Keith Moon story.
The thing about Moon is that he did not want to be a musician, he wanted to be an actor. This theme comes up a lot in his biography, kinda the reason why he was such a ham back there.
I love how he totally forgot how to play drums, and had to cram like crazy to play on Quadrophenia..
the Melvins - Dale Crover
Did anyone mention Karen Carpenter?
Seriously ? Sting would have succeeded with lesser drummers, he IS the band.
True, but Roxanne is not Roxanne without Stuart. Without Roxanne they might have been a super talented band that no one ever heard of. No way in heck is that song the same with any other drummer.
Terry's step daughter Marina is pretty good too. It's her birthday today. Marina Bozzio is the drummer for the all-feamle metal band Aldoius.
