Did anyone notice this one? Looks pretty cool. You can order any combination of the 3-knob Barber pedals, for 349$.

Discrete most likely means separate channels.

damn that would have been even sweeter if it could..but still an awesome idea for a pedal from a great builder.

Awesome. I love Barber pedals. So many options to choose from for the Dual Discrete. I've kind of lost track of the LTD series offerings, so I'll have to do some research.

My ideal Barber pedal would be a three-button enclosure with a Tone Pump or Burn Unit coupled with just the clean boost from the Launch Pad. Two OD channels and a boost for solos. Search over. :) One box for any gig with any amp in any style. Maybe a bit unnecessary and OTT, but I hate dealing with patch cords, pedal boards, power supplies, changing batteries, and having a bunch stuff cluttering my space on stage.

Only 3 knob pedals are offered in the DDD right now. The BU is a four knob pedal. The old Dual Unit might be up yoru alley...a TP and BU in one box.

Oh, I know. I'm just saying my "dream" Barber custom job would be a TP or BU with an independent clean boost(a la Launch Pad) at the end of the circuit. I currently use a CM AC Tone for this very reason, but it doesn't sound like a Tone Pump. It sounds great, but it imparts a strong flavor of its own.

Gotcha...a few years ago I actually had a builder put a Barber TP and BU in a large pedal with a boost at the end...it's very cool.

I have been in the market for a great dual channel pedal, with the wait on a KOT over 2 years, this might be the ticket.

Dave, can these be ordered direct from you or only through dealers.

I checked the link on the Barber page for the custom shop area and did not see these listed.

    Thanks
    Joe

    so Dave, two things.

first, can the order be switched a-la the ZIM, or is it hardwired so A must go before B?

second, what are your recommended combinations? I would imagine LTD -> DD would work well, but any other secret suggestions? How about Tone Pump into Burn Unit?[IMG]

Are these the same dimensions as the Burn Unit/Tone Pump?

Cool, thanks. They look a little less deep in the pics for some reason.

Yes he does... He told me it was awesome... I also love the LG. But When I built Tom's I did it with a regular Direct Drive board.

Since then Dave and I decided to make all orders of a Direct Drive a DDSS.. So you get not only the Presence/Bass control but you get mid control and Harmonics.. Plus now you get a note shape control that wasn't on the original SS model..

And the lower pedal (which is usually the low gain) either LG/LTD whatever they all get the added mid control.. So tons of areas to tweak till you turn blue.

I know there are no rules, but don't those generally go at opposite ends of the chain?

I was thinking "balanced or unbalanced DI + compression" for recording.
