Probably whichever has a flatter, i.e., less pronounced midrange. I have the Silver.

The barber site says the black is supposed to have less mids than the older version ( silver I take it ) but here on tgp several people said that the black has more mids than the silver. What gives?

I qoute "The LTD dishes out some of the sweetest and clearest overdrive ever heard! The king of chord clarity will unravel even the most complex of chords. The v2 adds a little more bass, less mids and a bit more open on top...just what the players have ordered!"

I think V1 (black) had most mids, Silver less, V2 (black) less still.

My guess is most mids to least: V1>V2>Silver. The V1 didn't have too many mids anyway. Very nice pedal.

LTD-SR would work great. Pretty flat on the mids, sounds like your amp cranked a bit. To make even more versatile, get the mod board.

The SR is a custom model that you have to request direct from Barber, right?
