I've been investigating comps for a while, and these two look like the ones I would be most interested in. Any experience/suggestions on either? What's the footprint of the Barber? Does either introduce a ton of noise?

barber is an avg footprint, i've been using one about a year now. comps always add some noise but the TP is pretty quiet in my mind. esp. as compared to the CS-3 i was using before. its def. a subtle compression too, which is not for everyone.

I only have experience with the Barber and use it all the time. I don't think it's noisy. Here are some really good clips from TGPer HarryJ, who chose the Barber over others:

    It's roughly 3 1/2" wide by 4 1/2" long

What about the BYOC 5 knob comp? Seems to have more controls than the Barber including the Blend feature.
