I'm using GB3 with OS X. I'm looking for some very basic drum and bass loops that would work for blues and straight-ahead R&R tunes. Kick, snare, hat type stuff. Loops that would work for BB King type tunes. Bass loops along the same line. GB has lots of cool loops, but not a whole lot on the minimalist side of things.

Any loops out there (preferably freebies) that any of you like?

Garageband comes with a ton of good loops, including blues drums and blues bass. Those are all the loops I've ever needed (for practice anyway).

Other than that, Google is your friend.

Its pretty easy just to use the built in keyboard/controller and make your own backing track via the supplied drum sets and bass. I think that GB 3 doesn't offer quite as many instruments (bundled) as they used to, but should be enuff to get started. Set your tempo, time sig and build your own measure by measure - copy & paste. For minimalist/simple stuff/demos, works pretty well.

    Good luck - J
