Bass Players: What's your favorite less expensive strap and pick?

    why?

    don't you have a strap on a guitar you can steal and use?
    OK this one i have a somewhat useful answer :)

    IMO heavier picks are better for bass, and i really like the dunlop ultex in like 1.0mm or 1.14mm. that material is really long-lasting and is stiff for its thickness. for me it's the rounded triangles, the shallower points don't "catch" the string as much and when one point wears out i still have two more to go

    I use the same Fender tweed strap on a lot of my guitars (and basses) and rarely use a pick. When I do, it's the same 88mm green tortex that I use for guitar as well.
