I've got a bassman ten. The bass knob on the normal channel does absolutely nothing. The bass knob on the studio channel seems to kind of roll off a little high end, at best. What up?

    Something may have failed.
Do you have a multi meter? And competence to safely work on an amp chassis?

I can open up and drain caps and solder. That's about it.

If you've got a meter, then check what the resistance is between the wiper (middle terminal) and the 'cold' track end terminal (look which terminal of the vol controls is grounded) of the bass controls, at min, middle and max settings.
