I was trying to sell this pedal and had no takers. I decided to give it another try using it as a low gain drive. Holy S***, this thing is killer.
After getting a great drive sound out of it I progressed to using it at the moment as my only drive/dirt box. The range of gain is awesome and all at the control of my volume knob. After all these time I finally get how it cleans up.

In the strangest of places if you look at it right.:D

I've owned 30 or so fuzz boxes and the BBB07 is still the king. The only one that came close is the '69. The versatility of these two fuzzes is what puts them head and shoulders over all the others. Just my 2 cents, of course.

I traded a Fuzz Factory to pick up my BBB07, and the two really are a study in contrasts. The FF was ALL or nothing, where the BBB you can tweak into all sorts of usable positions. I was using mine Fuzz Face-like for awhile, but i just got some great recorded tones as a low gainer, sort of in the Treble boost settings. It nailed the low gain buzz for this recording that i couldn't quite get from my normal OD's. I was impressed, and surprised.

Karl is my current crazy fuzz, BBB my jack of all trades fuzz.

    cheers

BBB07 was definitely the most versatile pedal I ever owned. Fuzz Face, MK2 and OD all in one pedal.

If you want to have just one fuzz, this is it. It does it all.

    was just playing mine too.

...one of the most versatile pedals on the planet, although the fuzz is a bit too muddy for me.

I was just playing around with my '69 for an hour or so, then I went down to the basement and stepped on my BBB07. It just flat out blows the '69 away. It sounds so much better to me, it's easier to adjust and get exactly the sound you want. If it had an LED and a 9v tap, it would be perfect.

I use the BBB07 with a Les Paul and 69 with a Strat.Neither does what the other does as well. The BBB07 has more body though.

I love the late sixties era fuzz face tones you get from the BBB 07. That alone makes it an indispensable pedal for me.

I just got a BBB and I'm really getting into it.

Is there any difference between this and the 07.

Excuse the ignorance, but what is a BBB07 and who makes this pedal? I realize it's a fuzz. I'd like to know more. Thanks!

Oh okay thanks! Does that stand for Black Beauty Balance then? 2007? I think I remember black beauty balance in regards to lovepedal at some point this past year. Lots of good reviews of this pedal right here whatever it is. I'd like to check one out. Thanks!
