What does that stand for?
Bluesbreaker (Marshall amp)
Burstbucker (Gibson pickup)
Black Beauty (Les Paul Custom)
Bumblebee (vintage capacitor)
There's another that I'm forgetting.
I mean, ball-busters.
It's not an acronym. It's a size indicator for lead shot...about .175 to .18 inches
It's ALL ball bearings!
Uhm, aren't we missing the obvious here?
Yes, there is one more BB and she's the most famous of them all...
Yes, it's the size of the lead (originally) shot. You've no doubt head of 00 Buck? Well BB is another gauge like 00 is. BB is a type of bird shot.
Just trying to ascertain the origin of the reference. Whether it refers to two words that have been shortened, or an acronym, or even just the bastardized diminutive of "baby" shot. Used it thru out life and never really knew what it stood for.
Benedictine & Brandy?
The link I posted before doesn't work for some reason - you have to dig through to get to the right page. Here's a pic instead.
Back to BBs, here's a fun "History of the BB" article:
Here's a snippet:
There, fixed it!
^^^^HAHAHAA!! Good one, Blix!
Hah - you quoted me before I edited. Nice!
