I'm not even on the OD market, but if I didn't pick it up, someone would. One letter typo just saved me some cash. :)

No, but I thought I saw a Randgraff and a Cray Jones sitting next to it... I probably should have grabbed those too. :)

If anyone in the area had one stolen, get in touch and show me your paperwork. I'm happy to profit off of GC's mistake, but not off of a thief. I will need to see papers (I blurred out the serial) to prove it's yours... otherwise, it's mine. I don't want to think about how pissed I'd be if I had a pedal like this stolen... but it seems awfully cheap, considering that GC eBays stuff and knows enough to mark old 808s ABOVE what they normally go for used...

The fact that an employee didn't see that and either correct it or buy it for themselves speaks volumes about the knowledge of the staff....don't cha think?

    Nice score.
...and nice offer on the stolen angle, very cool.

No f-ing way. That's something. +1, cool to offer it up if it was stolen.

The fact that "guitar" center doesn't know how much the most "prized" OD pedal costs is one thing and does speak volumes...

But, if they resold that to you for $100, does that mean some poor bloke sold it to guitar center for $20?

BTW-- which guitar center was it?

Villa Park. We were on a bunch of cheesy home-depot-esque errands today, and I told the wife I wanted to check out the Line6 Tone Port thing (really I was doing battle with the urge to buy a strat)

    Madsman,
Just want to repeat the sentiment above regarding your offer to return it to its rightful owner if it was stolen. That speaks volumes about your character.
    Good on you.

It sounds as if the GC staff in Chicago is as knowledgeable as the GC staff in the Seattle area stores.

I think I saw a Furrtone Furrdrive at that GC. What a steal-is that an older one since it has the Centaur graphic? I will give you $350 right now so you can wait 12 weeks for Bill Finnegan to build you another!

Dude, serial well under 1000. :) I don't want to be specific, in case someone gets the idea to try and mess with me. :) You can just picture me at the counter at GC, trying to block anyone's view of that case until someone can find the time to help me out at the accessory counter... :)

I almost left without the adaptor, but yeah, my wife said "Honey, it was plugged into that adaptor... is it supposed to come with that?" What a lady. :)

Hey, great whos better than you. Enjoy it. Every body deserves to catch a break. I bought a 1983 Rick 12 string in a pawn shop a few years back for $200. I could not pay the guy fast enough.

Yeah, GC probably gave $50 for it. Wow. AWESOME SCORE.
I've got a stack of stuff I got there because the manager who priced it was a ****ing idiot.
