I was thinking the same thing. When it got to Iron Maiden time I thought I was home and hosed but the darndest thing happened: I remembered the random video that came up in my FB feed earlier in the morning about all those times sportsmen celebrated before crossing the line (figuratively and quite literally in a lot of the examples!). So I sat myself down and hit refresh.... the rest is GELstory on this one.

    Ah well, maybe next time.

I figure there are two left, yours and mine. We need to conspire so as not to hose one another.

I think Jim mentioned before that the whole 'only 10' was a bit of a group misunderstanding. One of those things that got a little misinterpreted at the beginning, became the accepted truth, and by the time it was clarified it was a bit too late to fully recall. As I understand it, if Jim wants to build more, he will.

You never really know with these things but from the pre-08 email Jim kindly sent out it sounds like he's very busy tinkering away with R&D and bringing new ideas to the development. The way I see it is the more the merrier when it comes to Kelley amps!

Also, I just noticed this thread is in the demo section. Has it been here long? Seems a little odd to put it here.

I saw it got moved on Saturday. I thought it an odd place to be. It's not really a demo. It was more of a discussion. Seems really odd to have moved it after being in amps in cans or almost a year.

Very odd. Maybe we can make some enquiries, get it back in general population...

Just put my line amp in one of the original LTD maple combos with a a fane (fryette) creamback like the ones in the Aether amp. Just when you think nothing can sound better than what I already had going. This is pretty stellar. Have to record it to compare but man this setup just sounds killer. Best amp I've ever owned.

Now that's an interesting turn of events! Are you plugging directly into the Aether cab or is it the same speaker in a different cab?

I got an extra fane from Steve and put it in the Kelley hardwood combo along with the Kelley line chassis. Looks like one of the LTD reissues.

Oh nice! I don't have anything to compare to but right out of the box the Fane/Fryette creamback in the Aether cab (along with the rest of the Aether goodness) just works. It'll be interesting to hear how you get on.

Will post a clip by the end of the weekend of Jim Kelley line amp with 2 6l6s. Sounds fantastic!

As promised a little noodling on jim Kelley with 6l6. Recorded on iPhone once again in living room (if you listen close enough you can hear birds chirping since the back windows were open) converted to a lesser quality audio to post on SoundCloud.
Pretty amazing this amp still sounds just awesome after random room recording on an iPhone and then conversion.
