Has any one tried using one of these for bass?
I have an 8x10 2400 watt cab and was thinking of using this to power it.

    What are your thoughts?

Wow no ones tried one yet. Well I guess I'll take the plunge and pick one up (what the hell >$400 CAD for a 2400watt power amp) , I'll be running it with a bass podxt and put a review here once iI give it a good test with the band.

I never used or owned the amp in question so take this for what it's worth. Every product i've bought from Behringer has broke down. Some things sounded good but just stopped working. Sometimes it is true that you do get what you paid for! I'm really not knocking budget gear, just sharing my experience.

I'd stick with a good name brand like Crown, Crest, or QSC.

    There's a reason it's that cheap...

I have learned to go with a brand that TGP folks recommend,I have used Crown for 20+ years w/o a issue.:)

I will be getting a crown once I have some more cash, but I am really impressed with this power amp so far, It'll be going on its first gig on Wednesday, with three bands using it, it;ll be running for 4 hours straight so this will be a good test for it.

My band's PA is a Behringer (against my wishes). It's actually proved pretty damned reliable so far.

Well the first gig with it went great over 3 hours of straight playing and it sounded amazing. I had ppl going up after I finished saying they loved the bass tone and asking what i was using.

That amp is one of the few B products on which I've seen only positive comments.

I almost bought one. I don't have a ton of cash to spend so I really considered it. Seems like a good power amp. I ended up with a Nady 900 watt for $150. I use an SWR Goliath III Cab at 800 watts so I figured it would be decently matched. With a tube preamp, it sounds AWESOME!!!
