1. The Gear Page is run by musicians for musicians. We listen, we learn and if we misstep we are not afraid to do the right thing. We proposed some changes to the Emporiums. Based on feedback from members, we have decided to not go ahead with those changes. However, it has also highlighted that we need some community input into what is working and what is not working for members here. Primarily focused on the Emporiums, we'd like input on your thoughts about TGP and how things work in the Emporiums for you and how you'd improve them. The discussion thread on the is here!

I have heard alot of you talk about combining 2 different kind of speakers
in 4x12 cabs to get the best of both worlds.

What do you think is the best combination for a 35watt head.

I have an Orange 4x12 with V30s now.

Mixing two different speaker often ends up sounding very generic. A speaker has a flavor mixing it with something totally different just makes it bland. I think staying with two similar speakers sounds better. For example a M and H Scumback use the cone but different magnets or my favorite is mixing two M Scumbacks with the same magnet but different cones a 55hz and a 75hz. Or a Scumnico and a M Scumback same cones different magnets.
