Best 30-40 watt clean amp

    Iam wanting to get a clean amp. Whats the best 6L6 /KT66 30 watts. I want it to sound good through a les paul and telecaster. I would like a head because i already have a 2x12 cab (no speakers yet}. Thanks

    Got to mention the Fargen Blackbird. Superb amp for what you are describing.

    I hear the Dr. Z Route 66 is great for KT66 amps.

    I would say the two mentioned so far are great, the Fargen Blackbird and the Route 66, also consider the Reeves Custom 30, it has it's own unique sound plus power scaling so you can dial it down. It uses cathode biased KT66s, has some Hiwatt sparkle and some JTM grind if you turn the gain up.

    I have a Route 66. It is fairly clean but not Twin Reverb kind of clean. I guess suggestions should be based on what you call clean. Some guy's idea of clean is what I call solo drive!
