i've been through sooo many amps in my short days (i'm 30) and i've settled on the following:
    18w Marshall (homemade EL84 version and a 6V6 version)
    Ampeg V4
    Hiwatt Lead 50R

but to all of those Jaguar owners out there, what amp(s) do you use?

i played through a '70's Fender Deluxe Reverb and my Jaguar sounded great, but i'd love to hear some feedback on amps that have worked well for Fender Jaguar owners.

Late 60s Bandmaster was heaven with my two 1966 Jags.

I play through a deluxe reverb clone.

Used to use a Fender Super silverface.

Did not like the sounds through a Vox too much, but that's personal preference. I seem to prefer "American" voiced amps.

Ampeg Jet (most rehearsals) and Ampeg Gemini II (most gigs).
Love the Ampeg tremolos - and the lush reverb on the G-II!

I use an AV '62 Jaguar on a Victoria Regal with 2 6V6's and 1 15" Eminence speaker . Sounds really sweet with fantastic distortion , even on bedroomvolume and no pedals .

I play my Marr Jag with my Dr. Z Maz 18 NR or my '79 Champ. Sounds very good!

Very subjective. Only your own ears would know what your "best amp for a Fender Jaguar" would be...so we can't decide that for you. However, having said that, and being a Jaguar owner myself, and having played guitar for 40+ years, IMO a Jaguar needs an amp with splashy reverb & vibrato in it, along the lines of a Fender Twin Reverb, to achieve the classic Jaguar "surf & spy" sound. But, if you're not chasing the classic Jaguar sound, then the field is wide open for you to decide which direction to head with it. Good luck in your tone quest ;).

I would think a Fender Twin Reverb.

Oomske, thanks for putting the Victoria Regal on my radar! That amp looks perfect for me. Too bad I'm on a "used DRRI" budget. :(
