Boss CE-2 for typical old style chorus

Boss DC-3 for subtle, clear 3D hinting at chorus type sound :NUTS

Boss CE-2 does it for me. They can be had for $100-$140 on Ebay, although it will cost you another $65 or so if you get it modded by Keeley (highly recommended).

Visual Sound H2O/Liquid Chorus. Certainly one of my favourite chorus pedals out there. Not to mention the fact that that switch will last you pretty much forever...

I recently demo'd a dozen of the Chorus' out there....

I went with the new Hardwire chorus and am loving it.
I'm intrigued by that thing. I really want the Redwitch chorus, but I don't have $300 sitting around for a pedal I wouldn't use that often.

Imma try the CR-7 next time I go to the musician graveyard (guitar center).

Recent cloning controversy aside, the Danelectro Cool Cat CC-1 (the new one). Analog, great sounding, cheap. Hard to go wrong.

+1 I'm using this instead of my CE-2 or DC-2. True bypass too.

To be honest with ya, I played through another guitarist's rig last Friday and he was using the old Boss Bass Chorus - sounded awesome!

I own, or have owned over the last 20 years or so:
Ibanez CS-9, SC-10, CF-7, SM-10, Fulltone ChoralFlange, Boss CE-2, CH-1, Line6 MM4, Dano CoolCat 9 & 18 volt models) milkshake, Rocktek chorus, First Act Chorus, Dunlop Univibe Stereo Chorus, Washburn Lyon Chorus.
There were more but thats all I can remember right now.

I recently sold the CS-9 & SC-10 & kept the First Act Chorus.:thud
It's been on my main gig board for 4-5 nights a week for the last year.
The Washburn is a close 2nd. Go figure. Those 2 cheapies murdered the rest of the contenders regardless of price. Biggest dissapointment was the Fulltone. Just voiced way too bright for me. Coincidently the most expensive one I bought. I only use chorus on 4-5 songs a night in 3 one hour sets, so I haven't felt the need to explore past what I feel is a great chorus tone from the First Act. Toy-R-US baby!
