I need to know what a good amp would be with a great clean channel and that takes pedals well. Preferably from around 30 to 50 watts, master volume and effects loop. Reverb would be nice but not required. I'm not perticular about what kind of tube but i do tend to like either more of a fenderish tone, or a voxy tone. Distortion channel not an issre. i just need a GOOD clean channel with a fair amount of headroom. Must take pedals well.

    thanks,
    Dave

No Master vol or effects loop but a Bruno Cowtipper would work very well indeed. Mine took pedals extremely well without the Fender low end fart out syndrome. Great clean tone.

There's a ton of these. Just a couple suggestions: Demeter TGA-3 Rivera Jake, Quiana, and many others.

alessandro rottweiler - good but no effect loop
kock multitone or twintone - good, but does not sound like a fender

What is your pedal setup plan for this "dream amp" you're seeking?

What kind of music do you dig, what tones are in your head?

How strict is your criteria? What price?

Give these TGP boys this info, and you'll get a nice list that probably doesn't miss a single amp that you should check. TGP is cool like that.

I have a Heritage Patriot and a Heritage Victory - both take pedals brilliantly.

Fender Tonemaster. Drinks drive pedals, etc. right in.

At 100 watts, it might be more power than you're looking for though.

    I only use clean amps with pedals. I gig 2-4 nights per week and here's what I'm using at this time;

Divided By 13 FTR37 - My #1 gig amp right now. 6V6 amps tend to love pedals and this amps like a higher powered Deluxe to me.

Matchless Chieftain - Very pedal friendly

Matchless Lightning 2x10 - The best EL84 amp with pedals that I've owned.

    Super Reverb - Awesome

Maz Jr. - can be a little hard to dial in, but once you do it's awesome!

There's obviously many more and it's all subjective. The OD boxes on my pedalboard include a Sparkle Drive, a Drivetrain, and a Hot British. There's also a D/13 Joyride, but I use that as more of a siganl/clean boost. Good luck!

sorry ive been out of town(seeing the big apple) and i havent had a chance to post.

As it is right now i have a mesa mk 4 but i am serously considering getting rid of it in favor of a clean amp and some pedals.

I have a Tonelab SE and while its good at what it does im going to be ditching that for some single analog pedals.

Pedals i know that i am going to be adding are EHX small stone, DLS chorus vibe and a Timmy.

Distortion wise i want a wide tonal pallet but have not made any decisions as to what pedals i will be going with.

Some of my influences include The Mars Volta, Coheed and Cambria, Muse, Porcupine Tree, Death Cab for Cutie. I dont really want to just copy some of these tones i just would like a broad spectrum of tones.

Price wise anywhere between 1 to 2 grand but will go lower or a little higher for good amp.
