    Well, there's a challenge...:)

I've got a SF Princeton Reverb that breaks up wonderfully at low volumes but I've been getting into some chicken picking stuff and it's a little too crunchy at times. I also have a Cube 60 that sounds OK but artificial and processed.

I know, I know, I should get a Twin. But I don't have that kind of dough laying around. Nor can my spine handle lugging that suckers up the stairs...

Solid state is OK, though I always love the sound of tube amps.

    Other thoughts...??

I just got a '68 Showman(8 ohm output tranny) in excellent condition for
    just shy of $600.

It even came with a set of strong RCA 6L6s( I got lucky,there..)

Weight is very manageable due to it being a head, and I'm running it with
a single 12" cab (Avatar Vintage 1-12 w/ an EminenceTonker).

My Tele's definitely sound good thru this powerful & highly portable rig.

My Masters TVA30 sounds simply wonderful with my Washburn LT-82 Laredo "Tele".It has lots of clean headroom for a quad EL84 amp,and has the added bonus of a killer overdrive mode,as well.I paid $589 for my TVA30H head, and have seen the 1-12 combo go for around $649.

Depending on what your power needs the old Fender Musicmaster bass amp is killer with a tele. They can be had for around 300.00 sometimes less.
