No, not extreme like Cannibal Corpse or the X-Games, extreme as in having a lot of cut/boost range.
I'm looking for something that might just get into fixed-wah territory.
    BYOC?
    MXR 10-Band?
    anything I'm missing?

    Thanks again.

(And my apologies for the terrrrrrrrible spelling in the topic line.)

What you should look for is a Parametric EQ with variable Q factor.
I can remember seeing a TC one some time ago .

A parametric eq can be applied as a boost at a center frequency then you use the q to widen this. Or you can cut scooping away a solid slice of frequencies where you would like. Both ways this will result in a drastic change in sound.

Graphic eq's are toys compared with parametric ones. Maybe nice enough to smoothen out a normal guitar tone but it does not really allow too much drastic changes.

i would think that any EQ placed after the distortion, like in an effects loop, would have a pretty dramatic range.

Erksin: That Catalinbread is swweeeeet. Is it the same as the version with the other graphics and control layout?

Walterw: Interesting idea. I'll have to try that.
