Chicago - CTA
yes The Yes album
SD Cant buy a thrill
Elton John Elton John
Dêja Vu isn't really a debut, CSN just added three members.
The Yes Album isn't the debut.
Allmusic.com also lists Dêja Vu under CSN: https://www.allmusic.com/artist/crosby-stills-nash-mn0000131581
An album released even before the actual band existed. See, kiddies?
Amazing! It's like a greatest hits record!
To you, perhaps.
But certainly not for everyone on this site.
I was really disappointed with Candy-O to be honest.
I'd say Boston, but every album they released since sounded like the first one...
Hmmm I like Candy-O almost as much as the 1st album, Panorama was the one that lost me.
Yup. VH1 for sure!
As a kid, my sister gave me this one to listen to and I think I wore it out.
Styx - Pieces of Eight
This one also is my all time favorite. It may have been the first one I bought myself. It remains my favorite album to date still.
Tedeschi Trucks Band - Revelator
Pearl Jam - Ten
Linkin Park - Hybrid Theory
Turin Brakes - The Optimist LP
Phil Collins - Face Value
I think you could safely argue that subsequent releases by these artists have never beaten their debuts.
These Quickly come to mind.
Zazu, a prog rock group out of the Chicago area. Only one LP, their self-titled debut.
And another vote for Boston.
Portishead - Dummy
