Been thinking about what has come into the stable and what has left and what is good, not so good, and what is best. My highlights are:

Fryette Power Station: Killer piece of gear, opened up so many possibilities with amps, has a great loop.

Bogner Ecstasy 20th Anniversary: best amp I've ever had

VHT Pittbull 45: Unique tone amp I hope I never let go again after reacquiring it.

Hughes & Kettner tube factor: One of the best low gain ODs ever IMO. I leave it on almost all the time.

Strymon flint. I guess there's a reason these are hard to find at a discount used.

    Good but gone this year:

Bogner Goldfinger 45 - sold for funds for the Ecstasy. Good tones but a little too gimmicky with two loops, etc.
Two Notes Torpedo Reload - good, but beat out by the Power Station
Eventide H9. Great stuff but too "fussy" for me. I like knobs to turn.

Staying forever I think: Bogner Shiva 6L6; great tones I still use for combo situations. Axe FXII, relegated to recording/practice tool which it excels at. Went back to tubes for live use; they just sound better to me than FRFR.

You'll notice the lack of movement of guitars. I am pretty much set, although a couple incoming would be nice.

    What are yours?

not very TGP, but i LOVE my recently aquired SS blackstar id15 amp,
great tube emulation and just the right amount of FX & programibility w/ 4 button footswitch/tuner. seriously considering a 60w or 100w version.

3rd Power DreamWeaver head - really love it with lots of tonal possibilities
Two Notes Torpedo - I'm done micing cabs for a while, and the flexibility to play at any hour without disturbing anyone is fantastic

    Out:
Suhr Modern - great guitar but I never bonded with the neck. I might do a custom Suhr down the road with a larger neck.

I was bidding on that and took a nap and missed it. This is a prime case of snoozing and losing!

Mesa Express 5:25+ 1x12 - really perfect for my current situation but many knobs, oh well better to have and not need than need and not have, right?

Carr Slant 6v w/ Redplate OD - Amazing amp, a little hefty but it's my favorite Fender style amp I've played and the OD channel is right up my alley.

Whammy V - Just got this after selling a V last year. Forgot how much fun these are, and now I can record bass lines for garageband. Definitely a creative tool.

3Leaf Wonderlove - Envelope Filter Hunt subject, but I have high hopes.

Skreddy Little Miss Sunshine - Found at GC, excited to try in my rig - on hold til sunday.

LP Zendrive red - loved the LP regular Zen, and I'm excited to try this one.

Archer - Pretty great, but not up my alley with my current gear

RMC3FL - Best wah I've owned, funky and filthy but If I am going to keep it I have to find some other uses for it besides porno soundtracks.

Radial twin cities ABY - Have a nice looper and I'm excited to get back into the one man band thing/jams at home with the looper and keeping a quality signal. I also loop lots of chord progressions and this will help facilitate that as switching cables and pops are not cool, man.

I finally tracked down and purchased a guitar that had been the object of my desire for a couple of years- A Joe Perry '59. Here it is lounging on my couch:

Best amp I have ever played, by a long margin. I had previously owned a tds 50 which I foolish decided to sell when I found out my wife was pregnant. I really missed it so I was that much happier to get this one.

I was the only bidder in that auction. I was shocked.

In: Fender Prosonic head and Mesa Boogie vertical 2x12 halfback cab (with C90s). I've had a Prosonic combo for a few years and love it....after searching for several years, I found my sound in it. I wanted another one to leave at one band's rehearsal space and found this head for a great deal at GC right after Christmas. Scored the cab locally on CL for a good deal also.

Out: Mesa Boogie F-100 combo. Great amp, pretty simple to set up, awesome cleans, good dirt, heavy as my f**king house......A few years ago I was looking for another Prosonic and ran across this at a good price and grabbed it. While the cleans are awesome on it, I spend 90% of my time on the dirt channel and prefer amp dirt to pedal. Good amp, but I should have passed on it and waited to find a Prosonic, like I was originally intending. I ended up selling this super quick and for $200 more than I bought it for, so it funded the above Prosonic/cab that has pretty much ended my amp GAS........

My Fender Mustang III v2 amp! In 30 years of playing through so many amps I can't even count I never thought I'd like a $300 amp, modeling amp to boot, as much as I like that little thing. Tubes shmoobs.

    In:

Full blown Axe Fx rig, XL, MFC101 and a CLR powered wedge

    Out:

Germino Masonette head & 2x12. Great amp, but I needed more versatility (see above).

One foot on a banana peel:

Anderson Bulldog. I keep buying Les Paul type guitars every 3 or 4 years, thinking this will be the one, but after the honeymoon, I go back to my strat. If I ultimately decide to sell this beauty, I'll replace it with some type of Suhr.

Redplate RPR 50 duo, fantastic array of tones, way more amp than I need, deserve, should have, but I thought I might get away with just buying one amp forever and I think was lucky enough to have done it. Last night I hit a kinda Steve Hunter blues tone (completely by accident as I am no where near that league of a player) but what a thrill to hit a tone you have been looking for, definitely a smile maker.

Recently?.......... a Metro Head Master amp switcher.
I'm a total amp junkie, and I'm on the endless merry-go-round for the very best sounding amp for my tastes.
This amp switcher makes it so easy to A/B two different amps through the same cab.
I can instantly hear the differences between two heads.

Another acquisition is a '99 Soldano SLO with the loop modified by John Suhr.
Now, I've been through a half a dozen SLO's over the years, but none compare to this.
    This amp is a freak.
Besides the loop working great, the tone/feel is like no other SLO I've ever played before.
    Simply mind blowing.
This one stays with me till I'm wearing diapers.

Always wanted a Rickenbacker 325, since I was a kid. John Lennon thing. Had a 360 years ago but sold it. Then recently I ran across a great deal on a 1995 Rickenbacker 350 and bought it. Still have the itch for a 325 but the 350 does "play" better..

The JMP loves all my guitars, but for a gigging match made in heaven, it's these 2.
Cleanish to mean, all with the gtr vol. ...what a combo! !!
