    Hey all,

I recently put a Bigsby (with a Vibramate) on my Gibson R7 Les Paul and I'm looking to get it a good set up. Any sudgestions where the best place in Dallas might be to take it in?

    Thanks for the help!

I've been using Dan over at Dallas Guitar Repair. But if you're in a hurry you should look elsewhere.

I had some non-setup work done by Steve at Steve Anderson Music Services in Frisco and was happy. I've also heard good things about Bryant at Charley's Guitar Shop in Dallas.

I had a so-so setup by a shop out between Dallas and Fort Worth. I'm not going to name them or get more specific, because they probably could have fixed the big lingering issue if I had been patient enough to sit in several hours of Dallas traffic to take the guitar back to them.

This is a lot closer to me than the places I've been to so far, so I may give him a shot next. Nice recommendation!

+1 on Dan at Dallas Guitar Repair. He's done flawless setup work on some of my vintage stuff which is a real pain to work with. But, yeah, he is busy.

Roger rocks and is one of Dallas's mainstays for touring pro's passing through town. Call him.

Also, Dan over there's great at fixing/modding amps.

Anyone heard where Randy Brown is, he was a Charlie's years ago, I dealt with him when he was at Rockin Robin in the 80's, he's a stand up guy.

Big John at Big John's Guitars. Just a hair north of Dallas in Denton. He is a player as well and understands what you tell him/show him. You never have to wonder "where" your guitar actually is and who is working on it.
