Hi, this morning I have the honor of driving my step-daughter's stuff to college @ ASU Tempe/Phoenix while she and her mom are flying. San Francisco to Phoenix, where it going to be 106 degrees today :FM, about 11 hours in the car total.

The trip includes some guitar hunting :D.

SO: With an overnight in LA and some time in Phoenix...WHERE would YOU go??

My response to this thread may be limited so I'll say thanks in advance until I can get back online!!

Dont know about Phoenix, but in LA...you should go to Tone Merchants (Anaheim, actually)
Wildwest Guitars is cool too...but a drive to Riverside.
OR go out to Sunset Blvd., and hit the BIG GC, and Mesa Outlets...Hollywood.

+1 on the Guitar Center in Hollywood. Regardless of all of the problems that are now associated with GC, their Vintage Room is still a great destination.
Upstairs is just like any GC, anywhere in the world. But just head to the back, down the stairs, through the acoustic room, and it's a whole different world.
    Well worth the stop.
