Best handheld recorder for live concerts/gigs.

    Any opinions on the best handheld portable recorder for recording live gigs/concerts. I want something that has good bass response & low noise without being peaked out.

    I have heard about an iRiver unit, the Zoom H2, Boss Micro BR...but I want more opinions please

    I just received my Zoom H4 yesterday... it seems like direction stereo mics would give great results!

    a friend of mine uses a minidisc with a T-stereo mic that also works well

    I like my H2 for recording shows. It fits in my shirt pocket and the mic sticks out the top of the pocket just right.
