Any of your favorites, with an Ilitch Noise Reduction Pickguard.

I have 2 x 66 x 1 x 65 Strat pups in my Partscaster, and the Ilitch. I cant do without the Ilitch now that Ive had it 5 years. Mine is the Backplate though, as the PG wasn't available 5 years ago.

I was going to say your favorite regular single coils in a Suhr with the SSCII system, but the first reply kind of beat me to it ;)

FAIL .... The Ilitich system is not a HUM Free pickup :bonk

I like Dimarzio VV and lots of folks like The Kinmans. Also like Hot Rails and the lil 59.

Depends on what you're into. I really dig the Fender Hot Noiseless ones. They're pretty even tempered and affordable. I tend to play rock with fuzz, but wanted a passable clean sound and these do it with ease.

the standard (non-Holy Grail)Lace and the Lawrence models seem pretty affordable . . .
kinda looks like the competitive brands all run around $200 - $250 per set(includes the Ilitch system alternative)
as I'm a man of modest means; this where I likely am headed

Every one I've ever tried is terrible except for the illitch backplate (bought from Suhr when they were selling them.)

I love the Classic Strat Stacks in my Warmoth. Stratty goodness, and dead quiet.

Dimarzio Area's are amazing pickups IMO. I have several in a couple of custom Koll's - could have chosen any pickups I wanted.

    EMG!

Either the SAVX or SAX set. I've been a strat guy for 20 years, and I've tried tons of pickups and the EMG's are by far my favorite strat pickups I've ever used. period.

After using a set of EMG's for a while, everything else just sounds muddy and flabby by comparison. The new-ish X-series are an amazing improvement IMO, they really open things up a lot and give a lot more touch sensitivity. If you've only used the SA or S sets, you owe it to yourself to check out the X-series.

I had Area's in my last Strat. I loved them. Will probably have them again.
