    Hi Guys,
Want to replace the stock cheap Kluson style tuners that came on one of my Jap made flying vees. Do the Kluson brand tuners hold tune the best? are do another brand work better? Thanks!

    Gotohs are great.
Although, Tonepros is making Klusons now and promise to be quite fantatstic.

I've been really pleased with Gotoh Kluson style tuners.

don't the tonepros klusons require that you enlarge the peg holes to make the bushings fit?

I haven't heard about the tone pros Klusons before. Somebody bought the Kluson name and was making them for awhile, they are absolute crap, worse than the old ones were.

I've got the TonePros with the screw-in bushings on my LP Std, they work great! If you've got the push-in bushings, I remember reading that the push-in type TonePros may require some reaming of the peghead, i.e. not a drop-in replacement.

I put a set of Gotoh vintage style locking tuners on the LP I rescued and they are excellent.

    +1

I put some on my Musikraft neck for my tele, and they're great. They feel nice and solid, and look the part.
