It's crazy, I have it on my board with a Friedman BE-OD, the friedman hardly gets used anymore. Floor 2 of the 1959 is very similar to the the friedman but simply sounds richer, and more defined. Floor 1 is a great lower gain sound. And the boost is great too. It has ended my MIAB search for sure, it feels like I'm playing through an actual plexi. Check it out!

My 2204, but it does take up a lot of space on a pedal board. Plus it crushes all the pedals.

I had a freidman for about 20 minutes and it went back in the box and returned. It was terribly boxy sounding. No depth at all.

I'm confused, is this a tube pedal like a Kingsley, or is the tube only for the FX loop?

    La Grange definitely.

What separates it from the other MIAB is that it’s actually SEVERAL MIAB. JTM 45/Bluesbreaker, Plexi, JCM 800, JCM 900, etc... WAY more versatile. Why be stuck with only one Marshall sound when you can have them all in one?

Oh... I almost forgot, it also has an separate, awesome sounding Boost!

With a Fendery/Mesa Boogieish style amp, the Friedman sucks.

With a Marshally/Voxy style amp, the Friedman is amazing and defeats every other MIAB pedal.

I have both the Red and the LaGrange. Trust me, the Red is great at what it does but it's not a Marshall in a box.

The Red gives me an "ideal" high gain sound in Marshall territory, maybe not traditional Marshall but hot rodded for sure.

Interesting. I do play through a mesa, but it's (4) el-84s...people must be getting some good tones out of it because it seems to be popular.

Totally. And why have this in a huge footprint instead of getting it all in a regular pedal format?

    Menatone The King.

Kingsley Constable, but to be fair it's not really an MIAB but rather a real plexi preamp so you've got to have something to run it into.

I'm using a (modded) DRRI most of the time!
