I like my CMATMODS Tube Slammer as well as the Gaspedal CARB.

The PE Germ works great for that. It's very underrated IMHO. I sold mine to a local recording engineer because he was enamoured of its sound through a particular AC-30 he has in his arsenal.

I have played a couple of different FDII's. while I generally like the sound of them, they were all a bit dark and seemed to compress my sound a bit too much for my liking. I wouldn't mind having one for flavor on a track, but it couldn't be my go-to pedal for chord work.

    Medium to higher gain?

    OCD
    Mosferatu
    MI Audio Blue Boy

All of those kept their definition/clarity during chording for me at higher gain levels. I kept the Blue Boy, FWIW...

I was very happy with what I heard of the pedal. Greg is performing a minor adjustment to the pedal for me. Once it comes back, I'll get in touch with you to let you know how it turns out.

    It's a bit of a secret weapon for me, that's why I don't mention it much :D

If you're looking for clarity with complex chords, I'd have to add ther Xotic BB Preamp to the list.

I use my FDII with the gain on zero, for all of my chord work, and in the flat mids setting only.
