    Which would you pick if...

    Tim
    Timmy
    Skreddy SD
    MP LGW
    Eternity
    Zendrive

..you were running through a Vox styled amp with humbuckers, and wanted a base overdrive sound (low-med gain) ?

Barber DD works great with a Vox. It it really the only OD I liked with my AC15. Very smooth and ballsy of you want it to be and less than $150 :AOK

I'm having good luck with the Eternity in that same setup, and also highly recommend the Xotic AC and BB. SparkleDrive wasn't bad in that setup either.

Why isn't the Zendrive on the list? $179, the wait is now MUCH shorter than a Tim and it sounds great thru a Vox (which tend to be a bit picky about ODs). For that price range I'd also look at the FDII, the Sansamp Classic (used), the Barber Burn Unit...

How many are over $250 these days? Just Landgraffs and Klons?

Yeah and Clayjones, Bjfs, and DAM pedals

I saw in your sig that your using a Tim through a Vox, how are you liking it?

Didnt think of that one. Ill add ;)

Im using a DD right now and cant say im digging it. Something is just lacking-feels too much like a pedal.

I love it in the Vox, but I use it mostly in the 5E3. The EQ in the TIM is so good it sounds great in anything you put behind it.

None of above. I used a treble booster. Great for Vox AC30. I liked DynaRanger much.

So you would go the treble booster route? Have you tried a Java or Beano boost too?

for anything with humbuckers the LUTHER DRIVE is the real deal and for $100.00 you can not go wrong!

I've had Tim, Timmy, Eternity and Zendrive on your list.

I play a PRS, humbuckers, and I'd definitely go with the Zendrive.

    I love it.

Personally, I didn't enjoy the Eternity with humbuckers. I played it with a strat and it was much nicer. But I'm not a strat man.

The Tim is also (as everyone knows) awesome. I'd never sell it, but if I had to choose between the two I would take Zendrive.

I think you'd be suprised about Tim/Timmy wait times. I talked to Paul C this week and he told me he's catching up to his orders and I'd have mine around late December to early January. Four months is definitely way better than the 6 months or a year that I had been hearing.

Zendrive, man! I'm really liking Zen+Humbuckers. The tim may take a bit too long. But I do like the tim too :p

I LOVE my Zendrive. Best sounding OD I've ever used. Granted I haven't used a KLON or some of the others. Of course your personal taste may be different than mine or others, but the Zen is my vote. If you check on EBAY you can sometimes get a Zendrive pretty cheap I got mine for a little over $200, of course some are much more, and if you don't mind waiting a long time you can get one cheaper than that. I think I saw a Zen 2 on the emporium page for $240 OBO shipped, which sounds like a good deal from what they are going on ebay.

I'm stoked by the Zendrive. Both with humbuckers and single coils it's an incredibly versatile OD and at $179 it's not expensive...I waited only 3 weeks for mine, but I'm old and have patience.
