Looking for a pedal to give a real ballsy blues groove raunch rock sound. ALA Waysted or similar... Using a Les Paul and a Marshall 1960b 16 ohm 4 X 12 cab.

    TIA

The Xotic BB Preamp sounds great. So should the new BB Plus.

An OCD works really well for me when I use an OD pedal. The high/low gain switch is very effective, and the pedal itself is pretty transparent.

Every overdrive I tried sounded great with the Maz Jr I had. Definitely one of the best pedal amps out there. My favorite was the OCD, followed by the H&K Tube Factor.

Gristle King by Tim Jauernig is very sweet in front of the MAZ JR, amongst other things.

+1 for the maz not being finicky about OD's.

I had good luck with a KoT4, KoT2, Zeke blue OD, GT500, T.rex Alberta, BB booster etc etc..

BTW the GT500, Zeke and the T.rex are all for sale in the emporium:AOK

The Mosferatu does sound great in front as does the Xotic AC booster. This Z is a great amp... The Mosferatu I got has a 3 way switch on top and I selected the middle setting and it popped the rectifier tube in my Vibro Champ.... UGH... Oh well it was the original...

Klon and Banzai Cold Fusion. Sounds great with either. Actually the MAZ 18 Jr. takes about any pedal well. I've also used a Keeley Sparkledrive, Nobles ODR-1, and Z-Vex Super Duper with the MAZ and it sounded great with any of 'em. But the two I first mentioned were my favorites.
