So I have a Taylor 214 right now with K&K Pure Western Mini installed. I am upgrading and going with a Taylor DN4 Dreadnought. What pickup would be good for this guitar? Should I just install another PW Mini? Or will that not be good for the dreadnought style body?

I don't think it's a matter of being the appropriate pickup style for the guitar as much as responding the way you need it to when you plug it in, sounding the way you want it to sound, and having enough gain before feedback in the setting in which you intend to use it. If you like the K&K in the GA, you'll probably like it in the Dread.

Hope the thinline works for you.

I'd stick with the K&K also.

On a side note. How do you like your 214? I'm thinking about getting one as a "beater" guitar. Except I'm not going to beat it and it's really not that cheap in pure $ and cents.

I like the 214 but I sold it to upgrade to the DN4. I think the Martin Thinline will sound great in the DN4, I've only seen positive reviews of the pickup.

The Martin Thinline sounds great in the guitar! I think it sounds better than the K&K actually.
