Let's hear them, I've owned the Hermida Reverb 3, but I want a straight up plate verb.

Had a little Yamaha half-rack reverb unit (can't remember the model) with several reverb modes and its' plate reverb was superb. Bought and sold it for $35 after playing it for a couple of years.

Digitech reverbs tend to have too much obvious modulation for me. Can't remember about the Polara's plate, but the Polara's Hall and Supernatural's plate both have waaaay noticeable modulation in them. A real plate doesn't sound anything like what's on the Supernatural. I'm not even talking about the plate mod mode.

I use an RV-7 in stereo. Bought it specifically for the plate setting. Polara's plate should be identical. The Talisman is highly interesting with a pre delay knob but alas, it's mono only.

That occasional, and "authentic," apparently,
high-end crackle from the Talisman ended up
being a deal-breaker for me. Great pedal, though--
if you can manage that quirk/trait. :huh

Are you trying to perfectly emulate a real plate? Or are you going after the digital emulation of a plate as the sound you want?

That said,

These are good approximations of digital emulations. Under $200.
